How To: 2 Ingredients to be Genuinely Happy


Happiness. Some would say that they don't know what happiness is. When you ask them, they would say "I don't know how to be happy". Some people would say that they are happy with no reason but actually there is. They just don't know why or don't know how to voice it out. If you fall into one of the categories, this article will give you tips on how to be happy or give you the answers why you are happy. If you don't fall into either the categories, this will help you to have a deeper understanding of that feeling we call "Happiness".

These are the 2 ingredients on how to be genuinely happy.


OPTIMISM

Happiness is a choice. I know you have read this quote like everywhere, every time but this is actually true.  If you want to be happy, you could be happy. You can! All you have to do is to choose to be happy. The only problem is when you are facing a very depressing situation. This is where optimism enters. Yes, there are times that it is actually hard to be happy. All you have to do is to look at the situation on its positive side. Think that everything happens for a reason. All you have to do is to find that reason and be positive about it.


There is beauty in everything.

Don't let negativity blind you in seeing these beautiful things around you. These could be the reason why you are happy or how you can be happy. These reasons could be your life, family, friends, food, safety and many more.  The other reason is that the situation is a part of life and plainly inevitable.

CONTENTMENT

In contentment, there are 4 factors.

WHO YOU ARE

You have to accept who you are. Be happy with yourself. Don’t be ashamed of what your name is and where you are from. Be truthful of who you are inside and what your talents are.  Discarding these things may be the reason why you are unhappy. Rejecting who you are may shadow the greatness inside you.

WHO YOU'RE WITH

This includes your family, friends, relatives, partner and even your pets. They are the ones who are always there for you in your hour of greatest needs or in your glorious times. You may not actually see them as such when you don’t accept them for what they are.
For example, your family is not a wealthy one and you’re ashamed of that. (There are many movies with this kind of plot) Well you shouldn’t be because at the end of the day, they are still your family. Accept this and in no time you will see how they can make you happy.

WHAT YOU HAVE

Happiness is not in the worldly things in the world, it’s inside you.
You have to be contented with what you have. Yes, it doesn’t hurt to want more but before wanting more, make sure that you accept what you have first. Wanting more should be because what you have right now is not enough for your NEEDS or GROWTH because wanting things in excess is called GREED.

WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE

Always remember that we can’t always have what we want but we always get what we deserve and what is good for us. If you really want something, WORK hard for it. If you don’t get what you want, be happy and contented for what you will get in the future. Make use of it and in the long process, you might end up getting what you want.



Like in the first ingredient, you have to choose happiness if you want to be happy. Take it this way, in life there are tons of choices we have to make but all of them will lead you to where you deserve to be. It’s just either you chose the hard way or the easy way. In whatever choice you make, choose to be happy with it.
